Social Area
We are called to help people in every social sphere, bringing restoration through God’s truth to people and institutions (children’s homes, mothers, street children, soup kitchens, shelters, and more). Our work includes the following areas:
Children
We have been working for more than two years in an institute for minors in Buenos Aires city with children from the street. We teach them how to be a child again, and how to enjoy and live out their childhood.
Schools
Working together with the secondary school groups (social assistants, educative assistants) we give workshops and chats on topics such as prevention, identity, principles and values, and more.
Neighborhoods
Our work includes low income and slum areas of the city where we collaborate with the child-care centers and give talks to the parents. Help with family violence has become one of the greatest current needs.
A team that worked in the north
Rural Communities
Teams travel to northern sections of the country where we work with the rural schools together with other organizations. We also provide help in the hospital and in every home in the region. The major problems in the north include child prostitution, abuse, malnutrition, violence, and abandonment.
Teams
Our teams often include people from churches and other Youth with a Mission bases where we travel and work together for a common goal.
Giving workshops in churches
The City
Our major work in the city is with the government institutions. This year we trained ourselves in the areas of street workers assistance, treatment of addictions, and children in risk, which are the greatest areas of need in our city. We work together with the department of Health, working with HIV, using their materials to provide prevention workshops in churches and schools every year.
A cry of the people
At the moment we are in need of more full-time workers, but we continue with what we have and continue praying that those with a burden for this area will join with us soon.
